Mikoyan MIG29 "Fulcrum"
Interceptor: Placed into service in 1983, this
fast twin jet aircraft achieves a maximum speed of 1,520 mph and has a ceiling of 56,000
feet and a range of 1,300 miles. A very well armed machine, sporting a 30 mm cannon
and six wing pylons for various air-to-air missiles or bombs. A rather formidable
aircraft.

Mig23 "Flogger"
Multirole Fighter, designed in 1970. Piloted by a crew of one, the Mig23 is capable of
flying at 1,319 mph and at an altitude of 50,035 feet with a range of 620 miles. Typical
armament is two 23mm cannon and four air-to-air missiles. A large number of this
popular Mig were manufactured and many were exported to Czechoslovakia, Iraq, Libya,
Egypt, and Syria.

Sukhoi 17
Tactical Bomber
This assault aircraft was designed
in 1967 and was revealed in 1972. Designated "Fitter" by NATO, the SU17
has a variable geometry wing system and can achieve a top speed of 1,432 mph and reach an
altitude of 59,000 feet. With a relatively short range of 391 miles the relatively
unsophisticated, single seat, SU17 carries a heavy bomb load of 11,023 lbs. and bristles
with two 30 mm cannon.

Tupolev TU160 Blackjack Bomber
First
detected by satellite in 1979, this advanced multirole strategic bomber
remained shrouded in mystery until one was finally photographed.
The Blackjack (it's NATO designation) is a highly capable platform, equipped
with variable geometry wings, and terrain-following radar. Primary
armament is the AS-15 and AS-X-19 cruise missiles ( each with a 3,000 km
range).
